The MICRAPAC 925  Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) is specifically designed to operate as a completely functioning RTU in a single complete and compact package. The MICRAPAC 925  provides all SCADA functions including status monitoring, alarm monitoring, SOE time tagging, accurate analog measurement from transducerless A.C. inputs, Select-Before-Operate controls with single point failure protection, and provides full communications support via a choice of hardware interfaces combined with the selection of many different data protocols from HAI's library.

For Electric utilities, the MICRAPAC 925  will measure the full three phase current and voltage values, using HAI's standard 32 samples per cycle technology, and compute all watt, var and phase angle values as well as current direction, inrush conditions and zero sequence current. This A.C. metering is combined with status and Select-Before-Operate (SBO) control for full support of Electric Distribution Feeders, Load Management and Remote Switching Networks.

For Gas utilities, the MICRAPAC 925  when equipped with the appropriate I/O, can perform several AGA calculations along with local PID control. The MICRAPAC 925  would typically perform two AGA 3 calculations using AGA8 or Redlich/Kwong, Wichert Aziz sour gas corrections providing fast, accurate flow values in a matter of seconds. Flow values can be stored in set intervals of Monthly, Daily, Hourly for a period of 35 days. MICRAPAC 925  is also equipped with 4 status inputs and 4 control outputs.

Further, the MICRAPAC 925  will directly support satellite time synchronization and low power radio communications. The MICRAPAC 925  is an ideal solution for a compact, easily installed and maintained unit with flexible and powerful communications support. Additionally, for substation automation systems the MICRAPAC 925  can be equipped 1 or 2 8-port Fiber optic modules for communications to multiple MICRAPAC 925 SubRTUs and other IED devices via a Fiber optic local area network.
